Level 2 Support Engineer (Pittsburgh, PA)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding remote/phone support, with a focus on being empathetic to customer concerns/frustrations, setting appropriate expectations, and backing up promises with action
  • Assist level 1 support engineers with an emphasis on enhancing their ability to solve problems before escalation
  • Develop/maintain automated (scripted) solutions to prevent common issues
  • Create clear and concise documentation for solutions to problems and common system administration procedures for use by the entire support team
  • Maintain accurate time entries, ticket notes, and other documentation in Uptime's internal systems

Requirements

  • Understanding of technology common in a small business environment, most importantly Microsoft software products
  • Experience with programming/scripting for systems administration (VBS, batch files, PowerShell)
  • Excellent troubleshooting capability
  • Strong verbal/written communications skills
  • Bachelors Degree in information systems or related field
